Encourage early entry with automatic surcharges

The time-based surcharge feature is a great tool for encouraging guests to arrive earlier to your events.
You can offer a lower pre-sale price and automatically apply a surcharge if the customer arrives later than the allowed time.

How this workflow works

  1. Configure the ticket as valid until a specific time (for example, until 17:45).
  2. If the customer arrives later (for example, at 17:50), the system automatically applies an additional surcharge.
  3. The customer must pay this surcharge at the door to enter.

Step-by-step flow from the scanner

  1. The customer arrives with their pre-sale ticket.
  2. From the scanner view, scan the ticket.
  3. The system detects that the ticket has exceeded its valid time limit.
  4. A message appears showing the corresponding surcharge (for example: “€10 ticket + €20 surcharge”).
  5. Select the payment method and process the charge.
  6. The surcharge prints as an add-on, and the ticket is received.

This system helps you maintain schedule control and strengthen your attendance strategies.
