We’ll show you how to prepare all ticket types and conditions before opening your box office — essential to avoid errors at the door.
Have everything ready before reaching the box office
In this chapter, we’ll configure all the ticket types needed to ensure that on-site sales with Box Office run smoothly and without errors.
Before operating at the box office, you must define ticket types, their prices, included add-ons, and access conditions.
Create ticket types
From the Service creation section:
- Add the ticket name.
- Set the price range.
- Save.
Once created, you can add specific features to each ticket type.
Add free add-ons
If the ticket includes drinks or other benefits, you must add them as free add-ons.
- Click Add add-ons.
- Enter the name (e.g., “Drink”, “3-drink pack”…).
- Set the price to zero.
- Define the quantity of included products.
- You can limit the time frame during which the add-on is valid (e.g., “valid until 00:00”).
Set up time-slot surcharges
You can apply an automatic surcharge if the guest enters outside the allowed time range:
- Activate the option “Limit access time with surcharge.”
- Define whether it applies before or after a certain hour.
- Set the surcharge amount.
Example: Ticket price €10, but if entry is after 00:00, an additional €20 surcharge applies.
Enable on-site sales method
To make that ticket type available from Box Office:
- Go to Options > Sales methods.
- Activate Box Office sales.
If you don’t want it visible online, deactivate the Online sales option.
Editable price at the box office
You can allow staff at the box office to modify ticket prices before selling.
Enable the “Editable price” option only if you trust the autonomy of the sales operator. It’s an optional feature useful for contexts with flexible pricing.
With these pre-sale settings properly configured, your box office operations will be smooth and error-free.
