Configure Box Office when sales and scanning are not in the same place
In some venues or events, the box office and the entry point are not located together. This means tickets are sold in one location and scanned later at another. In this chapter, youโll learn how to manage this scenario efficiently so that tickets are sold but not automatically received.
Required settings for this workflow
Before starting sales:
Go to Settings in Box Office.
Disable the option Automatically receive.
Enable the option Print ticket.
This configuration ensures that the ticket is sold but not yet validated, and that the customer receives a printed ticket to use at the access point.
Sales and delivery process
Select the ticket type.
Choose the payment method.
The customer pays by card or cash.
The ticket prints automatically.
Hand the ticket to the customer so they can enter later.
Scanning process at the entrance
The customer arrives at the access point.
Scan the ticket using the Access app.
The ticket will appear in green, confirming a successful scan.
If you scan the same ticket again, the system will alert you that it has already been received.
This workflow is ideal for large venues, festivals, or events with complex access flows. Continue with the next chapter to learn how to print reservations from Box Office. Letโs go!
