Fine-tune system behavior at the point of sale

Once you’ve connected the printer and card reader, Box Office allows you to customize how the tool behaves during each sale.
Here you can define what gets printed, whether entries are automatically received, and if the QR code is displayed on screen.

Enable or disable automatic reception

When selling a ticket, you can choose whether it’s automatically received or not.

– If you enable automatic reception, the ticket will be validated the moment it’s sold.
– If you disable it, you’ll need to receive it later (for example, when scanning it in Access).

When automatic reception is disabled, the option Print ticket will be activated by default.

Configure what you want to print

From Box Office, you can enable the following options:

Print ticket: prints the physical entry ticket.
Print add-ons: prints only the vouchers included with the ticket (for example, drinks or merchandise).
Show QR: displays the ticket’s QR code on the screen so the customer can scan it with their phone.

Note: If you enable all three options, the system will print both the ticket and its add-ons and also show the QR on screen.

Advanced printing options

If you’re working with a tablet that has a built-in printer, you can adjust specific parameters to improve your operation:

Delay between tickets: useful when the printer doesn’t have an automatic cutter, allowing you to separate each print manually.
Ask before printing: the system will request confirmation before printing each ticket or add-on.

These options allow for more controlled management, especially in situations with high attendee volume.

With these specific settings completed, your Box Office system is now fully customized and ready to operate efficiently.
In the next chapter, you’ll learn how to perform sales step by step. Let’s go!
