Learn How to Create and Configure Your First Event in Fourvenues
Welcome to the event setup chapter of Fourvenues Academy.
In this video, you’ll learn how to create your first event from scratch in Fourvenues PRO, configure the essential information, control its visibility, and activate tools like preregistration.
Before You Start: Invite Your Team
Before creating an event, make sure you have invited all members of your organization.
You can add users and assign permissions from the Users & Permissions module, where you can also organize them into groups.
Create Your Event From the Calendar
- Go to the calendar and click Create Event:
- Select the date, start time, and end time (remember: an asterisk indicates a day change)
- Enter the event name
- Select a previously created location or add a new one
- You can use Event Groups to generate multiple similar sessions in one click
- Click Create Event > Continue

Fill in the Event Information
In the Event Information section, you can configure:
- Event name and description visible on the microsite
- Dress code (casual, elegant…)
- Minimum age
- End of sales: determines until when services remain available
- Location visibility
- Flyer: upload a specific one or keep the default
- Music genre, atmosphere, and artists from the Music tab
Advanced Event Options
In the Options tab, you can configure:
- Staff quality survey (mandatory when checking in attendees)
- Ticket cancellation by promoters
- Event-specific terms and conditions (if left blank, the organization’s general terms apply)
- Public visibility: show or hide the event on the website, app, and iframe
- Private event: only visible via direct link or promoter link
- Event status: active/inactive
Parental authorization: you can upload the document here if applicable
Use Preregistration to Capture Interest
From the Configure Event section in the calendar, you can enable preregistration:
- Temporarily hides sales services
- Allows users to sign up to receive notifications
- Ideal for teaser campaigns or gradual launches
Configure Event Services
On the right-hand column, you’ll find quick access to configure all event services:
- Rates
- Lists
- Tickets
- Passes
- Promoter Access
- Reservations
Each of these services is explained in detail in their corresponding modules within Fourvenues Academy.
Your event is now fully configured and ready to operate.
