Firsts steps

Welcome to the chapter on sales channel limits in the Fourvenues Academy Ticketing Module. In this chapter you will learn how to set the number of tickets your PR teams or an individual user can sell. Let’s get started!

Create ticket sales limits

Ticket limits are used to limit which teams or users can sell tickets of a certain type of ticket. To do this, when creating the tariff, or once it has already been created, you must select the “Limited” option.

From the list of events go to the configuration of the event you want to configure, then access the tickets section and select a type of ticket to mark it as limited. From this moment on, nobody will be able to use this type of ticket until you specify the groups or special users that can use it.

Types of limits

Within the ticket type configuration, access the Limit section. The maximum per sales link allows you to indicate the total number of tickets that can be purchased through the official link of our organisation. This limit does not include links to sales channels or tickets generated in Fourvenues Pro.

The next limit, number of tickets, allows you to indicate the minimum and maximum number of tickets that can be purchased simultaneously through the different sales links.

To set a limit of tickets to a group or to a specific user, use the limit by groups and external teams and/or the limits by special users.

Limits for specific users

Imagine you want to allocate a quota of 100 tickets to each member of the PR group, using the limit per group and external teams. The limit set will be for each member of the group and not a shared limit.

If you want to assign a quota of 20 tickets to a specific user, you will have to click on special users, then select add user, search for the user and enter the limit.

Important ascpects

It should be noted that this limit for special users prevails over the limit for groups and external equipment. In other words, in the example, if the user belongs to a group with assigned limits, the limit for special users will prevail over the group limit, in this case 20 tickets. Also, the limit of tickets established in the form in the Data section prevails over any limit or quota established in the configuration.

You are now an expert at limiting sales from your sales channels! If you want to continue to get the most out of Fourvenues PRO and take your business to the next level, continue with the next episode. Let’s go!
