Firsts steps

Welcome to the Fourvenues Academy ticketing chapter. In this chapter you will learn how to scan tickets from Fourvenues ACCESS. Let’s get started!

Foruvenues access and permissions

To scan tickets you need to download the Fourvenues Access application. It will be necessary to register the users with reception roles in the organisation’s profile. To do this, access Fourvenues Pro and from the settings go to users, new and add user. Once registered, you must give them reception permissions by accessing the permissions section in the settings. In this mode you can assign scan permissions by services, in this case select only the permission to receive tickets. It is also possible to grant this permission from the configuration of an event.

Scanning tickets

Once you have downloaded the Fourvenues Access application and logged in with the necessary permissions, you will be able to proceed to scan tickets. Go to Fourvenues Access and click on the business and on the specific event for which you are going to scan the tickets. There are 2 ways to check-in the tickets. Press the button with the QR symbol, the camera on your device will open to scan the QR codes associated with each sale made.

If the screen turns green, everything is OK, the customer or guest can access. The conditions of the tariff are also displayed so that you can see if you have, for example, any drinks or tickets included with your ticket. If, on the other hand, the screen is red, it means that the ticket has already been used or has been cancelled by the organisation.

Check-in without scanner

If you do not have a camera on your device, you can check-in tickets manually by using the search bar and entering the customer’s name and surname. Click on it and all the relevant information and what is included in the ticket will be displayed. Select check in and that’s it!

By default, the platform shows in real time the number of users inside the event and how many are still to arrive. If you do not want this data to be displayed, you can hide it from the General Settings, Settings and deactivate the option Show totals on reception.

You are now an expert ticket scanner! If you want to continue to get the most out of Fourvenues and take your business to the next level, continue to the next episode – let’s go!
